Cuntis is a small village placed strategically between Pontevedra and Santiago de Compostela that will lodge the racers during the previous days of concentration before the beginning of the race.

This nice and calm village is located in a wide valley formed from the rivers Gallo and Umia and its ground is flanked by two mountainous sets, the Xesteiras (718 m) and the Castro Sebil (545 m). In addition, Cuntis is a famous thermal center from the Roman age and has nowadays the biggest resort of Galicia, the Balneario Termas de Cuntis (www.termasdecuntis.com), the official hotel of the race.

It’s not only Cuntis’ waters that form the richness of this Pontevedra’s village but also an important cultural and archaeological heritage. Petroglifos, megaliths and castros spread along the village, being the impressive Castro de Castrolandín the most outstanding one, placed barely a kilometre away from the historical village center. Its huge natural richness turns this place into a suitable destination for those nature lovers who want to lose their steps along Cuntis's valley.
