CAT 700. Catalonia from north to south, from the Pyrenees to the Ebre Delta

Are you looking for adventure, traverse and challenge? CAT 700 is summarized in three concepts: long distance, non-stop and self-supported. CAT 700 is the pioneer event of its characteristics in Southern Europe that recovers the original philosophy of cycling, the man and his machine, with the modern adaptation to unsupported mountain biking.

A real test for lovers of off-road long distance which runs from the north to the south of Catalonia, from the Pyrenees to the Mediterranean Sea.

In total, about 700 km and a total ascent of 13,000m, with a cyclability near to the 100%, and where assistance is forbidden. Held over 110 hours and an outcome that depends not only on the physical fitness but also on the mental aptitude and good strategy. Sleeping bag, light, water, food, clothing, spare parts and anything else … enough to reach the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. Do you accept the challenge?

CAT 700 will give you the opportunity to discover some of the least visited regions of Catalonia. 100% rural, with a rich heritage and a spectacular network of roads. Pedal with your eyes wide open to capture the landscape changes in your way through the Pyrenees, Pre-Pyrenees, rain field, dry areas, vineyards and rice fields. You will reach altitudes of 2,500 m and within days you will touch the sea. We won’t reveal everything here so you can live the experience yourself. Good luck!
